In deze groepstentoonstelling maken we reizen door het denkbeeldige universum van kunstenaars en hun kunstenaarsboeken. Soms is reizen in je hoofd interessanter dan een echte reis: ieder continent, oneindig veel landen, en zelf verzonnen werelden kunnen worden aangedaan in je fantasie. Van de onbekende zeevolken van Koos Buist tot de verzonnen bergreizen van Luuk Wilmering, en van de reizen die Hinke-Ann Eleveld in gedachte aflegt tot de fantasierijke landschappen van Antonia Rehnen, Imaginary Travels onderzoekt de reislust van kunstenaars in relatie tot het boek en ander gerelateerd werk. Alle kunstenaars zijn aanwezig bij de opening.

Van Antonia Rehnen, die onze huidige ARTisMEMBER kaart heeft gemaakt, is vanaf 29 maart ook werk te zien bij onze bovenburen van kunstruimte Block C tijdens haar tentoonstelling ‘Blau’.

In this group exhibition, we travel together through the imaginary universe of artists and their artists' books. Sometimes traveling in one's mind is more interesting than an actual journey: every continent, infinite countries, and worlds of your own making can be visited in your imagination. From the unknown sea peoples of Koos Buist and the imagined trips to the mountains of Luuk Wilmering, to from the journeys Hinke-Ann Eleveld takes in her mind and the imaginative landscapes of Antonia Rehnen, Imaginary Travels explores wanderlust in relation to the artist's book and other related work. All artists will be present at the opening.

Work by Antonia Rehnen, who created our current ARTisMEMBER card, will also be on display at our upstairs neighbors at art space Block C during her exhibition “Blau” starting March 29.
