𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 #13 presents Othernode reads Burroughs
Thursday 2nd of July, 20pm LIVE from our IG account @stichtingartisbook.
Othernode was performing a selection of texts written by Burroughs and he was speaking about his relationship to them. About the work, Othernode shared:
“Without Burroughs there would be no beatnicks and so also no hippies, no punks, no yuppies and no internet. Nada. There would also be no Foucault, no Deleuze, no McLuhan and probably no Sci-Fi worth reading. All those might of course have happened at one point, but the way it all played out Burroughs played a major part, and I would like to make this reading session in honour of this original rebel and to lift my figurative hat in honour of this illegitimate grandpa’ of mine”.
